Prisoner of War Medal, they both are annapolis graduates but webb also holds a law degree from georgetown and was former secratary of navy.

Based on decoration, it would be McCain, but you're splitting hairs.





Also, being a POW for six years and refusing to leave until those who were there longer are allowed to leave kind of bumps McCain up a few notches.








Besides the fact that you cant really compare purple hearts.. mccain has one, but was probably injured alot more over his six years in captivity.





But both are heroes so what does it matter?

Pilots are the bigger heros since theyre the ones droping bombs to help support the infantry like Webb. Its also harder to be a pilot and they also take the most risk.


McCain was also sot down and become a POW for 6 yrs. He was basiclly a POW for the whole war and didnt have a chance to gain alot of medals.
Reply:Mccain straight up, he was offered special treatment cause they knew his father was an admiral, but Mccain denied it. He also was in the conditions for lot longer than Webb. His hair today is snow white because of the lack of nourishment in his captivity. this is also coming from a Virginian with Webb as his senator.

He also let his aide get arrested for carrying webs handgun through security at the capitol. he let the guy twist for weeks before owning up to it

When the chest is full of medals they get more respect than when you only have a few like me. At least I give it to them. Dont know about other vets, BUT when I see the CMH
