people buy them. they sell the clothes to make money
When you donate things like clothing to charities like the Purple Heart or Salvation Army, where do they go?
I don't know! I much prefer to donate to our local thrift store. You see your stuff come back out on the shelves for other people to buy!
Reply:There was a piece on tv the other day about this and they said a lot of the clothes we donate end up overseas like in Africa and people over there are selling them and making money off of the things we donate. So make sure you know where you donate like the other one said donate to a thrift store because then you see it back out on the shelves.
Reply:They take things and go thur them. Clothes they wash and put on racks and they take other things and if they can't sell them there they send them to other places.
Reply:The op shops. In Australia most of them go to St Vincent de Paul shops.
Reply:I knew some people that used to volunteer at those places and when sorting the stuff that has been donated they put aside anything they may want and the rest is shipped to different stores to be resold.
